About Us

We at Sims Electric, Inc. are electrical systems specialists with over 60 years of experience in installation and service.  We specialize in all phases and areas of commercial and industrial construction (new construction, remodels, government, education, manufacturing, utilities, etc.), as well as residential service and remodels.  We have worked on everything from short service calls to $4 million projects -- there is very little we cannot handle!   Sims Electric, Inc. also has the right equipment to get the job done, including CAD (computer-aided design) technical tools, boom-line service and bucket truck, as well as an auger for hole-digging services.
We proudly serve Southern Oregon, including Douglas County.  We are members of NECA (National Electrical Contractors Association), Local 659 IBEW (International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers), and of the Roseburg Chamber of Commerce.
We have a large enough crew to respond to same-day requests, but we will try our best to accommodate emergency situations immediately.  Additionally, we offer free estimates and accept Visa and Mastercard on the work we provide.
Sims Electric has been incorporated since 1966, but the company was originally started in the late 1940s.  The company has certainly grown, but you can still expect the same professional and quality service that has kept us on top for so many years!  Our principals, Dave Forgard and Linda Sims, both hold engineering degrees from Oregon State University.  They, along with Andy Alberding, our top-notch estimator & project manager, offer a unique combination of training in electrical and industrial engineering, project management, and over 50 years of combined electrical systems work experience.
With our extensive background and experience, the Sims Electric team is well-respected in our service area and community.  Our on-going highest priorities include integrity in personnel and policy, quality work, safety, and community involvement. We are distinguished by our knowledge through continuing education and diverse experience-- there’s simply no substitute for either one.
